Magical Unicorn handprint art is a lovely activity for 3 year olds! Create a multicoloured unicorn hand print to add to your handprint animals collection!
On a side note this activity had an added benefit of encouraging our daughter to eat her veg! Amelia-Jayne has been keen to eat unicorn broccoli tails and carrot unicorn horns ever since we did our handprints so if you have a fussy eater it is well worth a try!
Step 1 – Creating our Handprints!
Using our Crayola Washable Kids Paint, Amelia-Jayne chose her favourite colours and we painted her hands in strips of colour.
She choose green for the palm of her hand, followed by blue (her most favourite colour!) and finaly purple for the fingers / unicorn legs!
Step 2 – Adding Unicorn Features! The Horn…
To make the unicorn horn I cut a carrot into a horn like shape. We then painted the carrot in the same way we hand painted the hand!
Next we both placed the unicorn horn on its head, this was very much lead by me otherwise we would have ended up with a horn on the back of the unicorns back, if we were lucky!
Step 3 – All Unicorns Need Tails!
To make the unicorns tail I decided broccoli would be a fun tail like stamp to use!
We painted the broccoli and in our 3 colours and then stamped it to create our unicorn tail!
Step 4 – Googly Eyes and Hooves!
Amelia-Jayne loves my stash of googly eyes and so really enjoyed choosing her favourite eyes for her unicorn!
We then used felt tip pen to make unicorn hooves!
We enjoyed creating our unicorn handprint art and hope you enjoy creating your unicorn print.
